Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join an Outstanding Ofsted-rated mixed gender secondary school in Brent. This part-time position, with an April start, offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a high-achieving and supportive learning environment.

About the Role:

As an English Teacher, you will play a crucial role in delivering engaging and challenging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will foster a love for literature and language, encouraging students to develop their critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality English lessons tailored to individual student needs, ensuring engagement and challenge.
  • Create a stimulating and interactive learning environment promoting active participation, collaboration, and a love of learning.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies catering to diverse learning styles to enhance understanding and engagement.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support to meet academic goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine the English curriculum, aligning with high standards and best practices.
  • Contribute to extracurricular English activities, such as book clubs, debating societies, and creative writing workshops.
Ideal Candidate:
  • A passion for English literature and language, with a strong understanding of literary analysis and creative writing.
  • A relevant teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent) and a strong academic background in English literature or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching English at secondary level, preferably within an Outstanding Ofsted-rated school, with a track record of excellent student outcomes.
