Job summary

The City of Edinburgh Council is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Practitioner for Duddingston Primary School in Edinburgh. The role focuses on providing nurturing support and delivering high quality learning experiences to young children aged 3-5 in our term-time nursery.

This post requires PVG scheme membership and suitable pre-employment checks. Working pattern is Thursday and Friday (12.5 hours per week, 39 weeks term). The salary is pro-rata for part-time work.

Qualifications

• Applicants must hold one of the following qualifications: HNC in Childcare and Education or SVQ Level 3 in Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7.
• Duddingston nursery operates term-time and has 60 full-time places for children aged 3-5 years.
• This post requires PVG scheme membership and pre-employment checks including an Overseas Criminal Record Check if applicable.
