Job summary

Barnardo's in Stratford District is recruiting an Early Years Lead to oversee and line manage the Early Years and Children and Young People’s workers delivering 1:1 support, groups, and courses for children, families, and carers.

The role develops timetables for three centres and outreach sites, allocates staff to sessions, and promotes the service with partners and the admin team. A strong EYFS knowledge base and team leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge and understanding of the EYFS and child development.
• Experience managing teams in a nursery setting or equivalent.
• Ability to build positive relationships with parents and carers.
• Experience coordinating timetables and session delivery.
• Willingness to work across daytime, after-school and weekend sessions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and line manage Early Years and Children and Young People's workers.
• Develop timetables for Stratford District centres and outreach sites.
• Allocate staff to sessions and promote services with partners.
• Promote services via social media with Admin and recruit volunteers with the Volunteer Coordinator.
• Support KPI delivery across services.
