Job summary

Trinity First School in Frome, Somerset, is seeking a Part Time Early Years & KS1 Teaching Assistant. The role is fixed-term, 30.42 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:40am–3:15pm with a 30 minute unpaid lunch, term-time plus five INSET days. Salary scales, Grade 1, 3–4, £13.28–£13.48 per hour, actual annual salary £18,093–£18,377.

Start ASAP, ends 13.10.2026. Temporary position linked to funding; includes generous leave, pension, cycle-to-work, eye tests, and support schemes.

Qualifications

• Part Time Early Years & KS1 Teaching Assistant (Level 1)
• Experience supporting young learners in EYFS/KS1 is desirable
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff in EYFS and KS1 classrooms
• Support individual pupil(s) and small groups during lessons
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive learning environment
