Job summary

Cygnet Long Eaton Day Services is hiring a part-time driver to operate a 7-seater minibus across assigned routes. The role requires a D1 license, clean driving record, and the ability to maintain vehicle standards and safety checks.

The position offers a 20-hour per week arrangement with a split shift (3 hours morning, 3 hours afternoon), DBS check required and a supportive team environment with ongoing coaching.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK driving D1 Licence with no more than 3 points.
• Age 21 or over with full UK driving license for at least 2 years.
• Able to navigate around an area using Sat Nav or maps.
• Able to plan and keep to a schedule.
• Willing to work unsupervised.
• Good customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
• Excellent organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive the 7 seater minibus as part of a 20 hour per week split shift.
• Refuel the company vehicle and perform pre-trip and post-trip checks.
• Keep the vehicle clean inside and out and report faults/damage.

Cygnet Long Eaton Day Services specialises in supporting individuals with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, in addition to those with complex health needs, physical disabilities and those with autism. We have a long history of enhancing the quality of life of the individuals who attend the service.

We are currently looking for a Part Time Driver,who is able to drive our 7 seater mini bus, working on a 20 hour part time basis. This is a split shift contract, 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon.

Please note: For insurance purposes, applicants must be 21 years of age or over and have held a full UK driving license for at least 2 years. You also need to have a D1 licence to be able to drive the minibus.

You will also be responsible for ensuring the company vehicle used is refuelled and to check the vehicle before going out and after return, keeping it clean inside and out and reporting any faults/damage.

You will need to demonstrate each of the following:
