Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Domiciliary Support Worker to join our team in Wigan, United Kingdom. As a domiciliary support worker, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.

  • Assist service users with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Support with medication management, ensuring prescribed medications are taken correctly and on time
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
  • Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment when required
  • Monitor and report any changes in service users' health or wellbeing to the care coordinator
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or concerns
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Companion calls
  • Domestic support around the home
Qualifications
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and empathetic approach
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities
  • Basic healthcare knowledge and understanding of person-centred care
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification is desirable
  • First Aid certification is advantageous

  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle may be required for some positions
Additional Information

Rate of pay: Week days £13.25-£13.75 per hour, Weekend Rate £13.75 per hour. 45p per mile.
