Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-time Domiciliary Support Worker to join our team in Northwich, UK. As a valued member of our organisation, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals in their own homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life.
- Assist service users with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support with medication management, ensuring correct dosages and timely administration
- Help with meal preparation and feeding when required
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
- Accompany service users to appointments or social activities as needed
- Monitor and report any changes in service users' health or wellbeing
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any incidents or concerns
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and safeguarding procedures
- Access to your own motor vehicle or motorbike/bike
Qualifications
- Previous experience in domiciliary care or a similar care-giving role is preferred
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Physical fitness to assist with mobility and personal care tasks
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Compassionate and patient-centred approach to care
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills for accurate record-keeping
- NVQ Level 2Health and Social Care is desirable, or willingness to work towards this qualification
- First Aid certification is advantageous
- Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred due to the nature of the role
- Understanding of person-centred care principles and safeguarding procedures
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
