  • Salary: GBP10,400.00 per annum
  • Hours: 16 hours per week, over 2 days (9am - 5pm), days negotiable
  • Contract: Permanent

About the Role

We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to join our close-knit team at Underley Garden School, part of Options Autism.

Purpose of the Role
  1. Work within the school to ensure the safe and efficient running of the kitchen and dining facility alongside the Kitchen Team.
  2. Assist the Kitchen Manager in maintaining high standards of service for all stakeholders.
  3. Support in producing high-quality school lunches, adhering to School Food Standards.
  4. Ensure the kitchen and dining areas are safe and clean environments for young people, staff, and visitors at all times.
  5. Support in meeting standards set by the Environmental Health Agency.
Responsibilities
  • Produce food to a high standard, supporting in preparation and cooking according to dietary requirements.
  • Support the wider kitchen team during serving times to ensure smooth lunch periods.
  • Prepare the dining area for service, including setting up and cleaning furniture and equipment.
  • Prepare the service area and equipment for efficient meal service.
