Part Time Design and Technology teacher - Bristol (BS15)

Are you ready to inspire the creators, innovators, and problem-solvers of tomorrow? We're looking for a passionate and creative Teacher of Design Technology to join a secondary school in South Bristol. If you thrive on turning ideas into reality and empowering students to bring their designs to life, this is the role for you!

  • Salary - paid to supply teachers' pay scale, M1 - U3 depending on experience
  • Part time - 3 days per week, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
  • Teaching all year groups Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Mainstream secondary school in south Bristol, BS15 (Speedwell)

About the role

  • Teaching 12 out of 18 periods in 3 days + Tutor Cover
  • Lead engaging and practical lessons that develop students' skills in design and technology.
  • Encourage students to develop their practical skills and theoretical knowledge in a variety of disciplines, mastering a variety of tools, materials, and techniques.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, marking and providing constructive feedback, setting challenging targets.
  • Get involved with extracurricular activities and events within the school community.

What we are looking for from you

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Prior experience teaching secondary education at KS3 and KS4
  • Solid subject knowledge in Design and Technology.
  • A collaborative educator who inspires students to think creatively and develop practical skills.
