Job summary

A reputable service provider in Northern Ireland is seeking a part-time Infrastructure Engineer for an initial 8-month contract in Dungannon. The role requires on-site work for 2 days per week, focusing on managing Dell enterprise infrastructure, ensuring performance and stability. The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Dell systems, and experience with both Windows and Linux servers. This position offers flexibility and competitive earnings outside of IR35 regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on experience supporting Dell enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong knowledge of Dell Servers, Dell PowerStore SAN, and Dell VxRail.
• Experience managing both Windows and Linux servers.
• Demonstrable experience performing infrastructure patching and maintenance.
• Comfortable working independently in a part-time, on-site capacity.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Dell enterprise server infrastructure across multiple sites.
• Administer and support Dell PowerStore SAN and Dell VxRail environments.
• Maintain and optimise VMware virtualised infrastructure.
• Support hosted Windows and Linux server estates.
• Perform regular patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management activities.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues.
• Support infrastructure improvement and resilience initiatives.
