Job summary

West Midlands and Worcestershire Perm Hub in Bromsgrove is seeking a proactive Part-Time Credit Controller to join our finance team. This role focuses on managing the sales ledger, monitoring payments, and keeping customer accounts up to date while maintaining a supportive finance environment.

The ideal candidate has credit control experience and can work 1 day per week in the office. Hybrid working is available. The position offers £16-£17 per hour with ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable or a similar finance role.
• Good understanding of sales ledger and credit control processes.
• Confident telephone manner and good communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Good Microsoft Excel and general IT skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage the sales ledger and monitor customer accounts
• Carry out regular credit control and follow up outstanding invoices
• Contact customers by telephone and email regarding overdue payments
• Allocate and reconcile customer payments accurately
• Investigate and resolve payment queries and account discrepancies
• Maintain accurate customer account records
• Produce aged debtor reports and monitor outstanding balances
• Assist with cash flow monitoring and reporting
• Liaise with internal teams to resolve invoicing and payment issues
• Assist with bank reconciliations and general finance administration
• Support the Senior Bookkeeper with day-to-day finance activities
• Assist with month-end processes and account reconciliations
• Provide general administrative support to the finance team
• Carry out other ad hoc finance duties as required

Part-Time Credit Controller

Location: Bromsgrove (Hybrid working available, with 1 day a week in the office required)

£16-£17 per hour

We are looking for a proactive and organised Part-Time Credit Controller to join our finance team based in Bromsgrove. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with credit control experience who is looking for a part-time role within a friendly and supportive finance team.

Working alongside the Senior Bookkeeper, you will play an important role in managing the sales ledger, monitoring outstanding payments and ensuring customer accounts are kept up to date. You will also have the opportunity to support with wider finance administration and develop your knowledge across the accounts function.

Part-Time Credit Controller - Key Responsibilities

• Manage the sales ledger and monitor customer accounts
• Carry out regular credit control and follow up outstanding invoices

The successful Part-Time Credit Controller will ideally have
