Job summary

Arts University Bournemouth is seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our Counselling Team within Student Services on a part-time basis. The postholder will support the coordination and delivery of a confidential counselling service to students, working in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework.

Working within a one-at-a-time counselling model, the postholder will manage a caseload and provide focused therapeutic support to ensure students access counselling at the point of need.

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised counselling qualification.
• Be a BACP accredited member.
• Minimum of two years’ post-qualifying counselling experience.
• Experience of counselling within a higher education setting would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver a professional, confidential counselling service to students.
• Work within a one-at-a-time counselling model to manage caseloads.
• Provide focused, responsive therapeutic support to ensure timely access to counselling.
• Adhere to the BACP Ethical Framework for the Counselling Professions.
