Job description

Do you want to work to make Power for Good?

We're the world's largest independent renewable energy company. Guided by a simple yet powerful vision: to create a future where everyone has access to affordable, zero carbon energy.

We know that achieving our ambitions depends on our people. Because we're tackling some of the world's toughest problems, we need the very best talent. They are our most valuable asset, which is why we continually invest in their growth.

RES is a diverse family committed to the personal and professional development of our employees at every career stage. We offer rewarding work that makes a real impact, opportunities to learn from inspiring colleagues across a global network, and avenues for personal and professional growth.

Our competitive package includes benefits such as pension schemes, flexible working arrangements, a strong emphasis on work-life balance, private healthcare, green travel discounts, 25 days holiday with buy/sell options, enhanced family leave, and four volunteering days annually to contribute elsewhere.

The Position

The Corporate Tax Accountant is an exciting role within the Asset Management (“AM”) Finance Team at RES, offering significant learning and development opportunities. The team of 22 manages a growing portfolio of over 150 companies across 12 clients, including leading renewable energy investors in the UK and Ireland. This role combines a supportive, professional environment with the fast-paced, commercial engagement typical of an in-house resource for our clients.

This new position has been created due to the growth of the AM business and primarily supports the corporation tax compliance process by preparing tax computations and schedules. A solid foundation in corporation tax is essential for this role.

The successful candidate will report to the Tax Manager in the Asset Management team and collaborate with management accountants, internal stakeholders, and external clients.

This role is for 3 days per week, with some flexibility regarding the hours.
