Join our dedicated team at Hamilton House Residential Care Service as a Part Time Cook. In this role, you'll be responsible for preparing delicious, nutritious, and well-balanced meals for our residents, ensuring that their dietary needs and preferences are met. Our care service prioritises the well-being and happiness of residents, and as a cook, you'll play a vital part in enhancing their daily lives through food.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and cook a variety of wholesome meals tailored to the dietary needs of residents.
  • Ensure that food hygiene and safety standards are maintained at all times within the kitchen.
  • Manage stock levels and maintain records of food storage and preparation, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Assist in ordering supplies and contribute to cost-effective menu planning.
  • Work collaboratively with care staff to accommodate any special dietary requests.
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Minimum Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate.
  • Previous cooking experience in a care setting is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of dietary needs for elderly residents.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.

Hours:

Day shift required to include weekends on a rota - 3 day shifts per week circa 18-22 hours

Day shift times 7.30am - 13.30pm

£12 per hour
