Job summary

Bournemouth Collegiate School is seeking a creative Content Assistant for a casual or part-time position. You will work with the communications and marketing team to tell the story of our vibrant school community, creating engaging content, photography and short-form video to showcase pupils and activities.

Ideal candidates are confident with social media, have a good eye for images, can write succinct captions, and enjoy working with staff and pupils.

Qualifications

Creative, enthusiastic and full of ideas.
Confident using social media and familiar with current digital content trends.
Good photographer with an eye for engaging images.
Comfortable creating and editing short-form video.
Confident writer with excellent attention to detail.
Organised, reliable and able to work independently.
Friendly and confident when working with pupils, staff and the wider school community.

Responsibilities

Create engaging content for the school's social media channels and website.
Take photographs and short-form video at events, activities, trips and fixtures.
Capture day-to-day moments that bring school life to life.
Write short news stories, captions and features.
Plan and schedule social media content.
Support creation of digital and promotional materials.
Identify opportunities to celebrate pupil achievements and school successes.
Work with staff and pupils to gather stories and content.
Ensure content reflects the school's values and character.
