Philosophy Education, Ltd. is seeking a passionate Computer Science Teacher for a part-time role in Maidstone, Kent. The position is 0.4 FTE (2 days per week) with MPS/UPS paid to scale, covering KS3 and KS4 (GCSE) with KS5 where appropriate. September 2026 start or ASAP. Interviews available immediately.

The role invites experienced teachers or ECTs who can inspire pupils through engaging, well-planned CS lessons and contribute to a supportive school community.

Qualifications

• Holds QTS or UK-recognised teaching qualification.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
• Experience teaching Computer Science within a secondary school setting.
• Able to teach KS3/KS4 and GCSE level; KS5 optional where appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging CS lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to teach KS5 where appropriate.
• Deliver well-organised lessons that support pupils of varying abilities.
• Develop pupils' knowledge, confidence and understanding of Computer Science.
• Use diverse teaching strategies, resources and assessment methods to support progress.
• Assess pupils regularly and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and achievement.
• Collaborate with departmental colleagues in CS.
• Communicate progress with parents and carers.
