Qualifikationen

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an appropriate UK-recognised teaching qualification.
• Has a relevant degree in Computer Science or a related subject.
• Has experience teaching Computer Science within a secondary school setting, either through employment or teacher training placements.
• Can confidently teach Computer Science at KS3 and KS4 / GCSE level.
• Has strong and up-to-date subject knowledge.
• Understands the Computer Science curriculum and appropriate approaches to assessment.
• Can differentiate and adapt lessons to meet the needs of pupils across a range of abilities.
• Has confident classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Has high expectations for pupil achievement and progress.
• Is enthusiastic, dedicated and keen to work as part of a collaborative team.
• Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Aufgaben

• Plan and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to teach KS5 where appropriate.
• Deliver challenging and well-organised lessons that support pupils across a range of abilities.
• Develop pupils' knowledge, confidence and understanding of Computer Science.
• Use a range of teaching strategies, resources and assessment methods to support pupil progress.
• Assess pupils regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement and academic achievement.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues within the Computer Science department.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers and other stakeholders regarding pupil progress.
• Contribute positively to the wider school community.
