Job summary

Cygnet Learning Disabilities Midlands Limited in Huddersfield is seeking an experienced psychologist to join Cygnet Gledholt, a community residential service for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs. This part-time role is 30 hours per week, spread over four days, with a focus on assessment, therapy, and multidisciplinary collaboration.

You will carry out psychological assessments, provide individual and group therapy, and support staff with risk assessments and care planning.

Qualifications

• Qualified psychologist with registration and the ability to practice.
• Experience in adult mental health and learning disability settings.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out psychological assessments & provide therapy to individuals & groups
• Work systemically with staff, as well as directly with service users
• Consult with staff, families & other agencies about the psychological care of the client group
• Offer psychological insight & knowledge to the multidisciplinary team
• Support the clinical, nursing & direct care teams in making skilled evaluations & decisions about risk
• Evaluate the service, contribute to its development & carry out clinical research.
