Job summary

Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Clinical Education and Competencies Manager to lead and develop our clinical education portfolio within the Education Department. This 15-hour-per-week post focuses on managing teaching activity, training programmes, CPD and competency support for the clinical workforce.

You will oversee evaluation, ensure regulatory alignment, work with clinical tutors and external trainers, and coordinate projects to improve education across BCHC

Responsibilities

• Management of Clinical Education and Training provision across the organisation; this includes planning, delivery and evaluation of professional education and training activities, training programmes, continuing professional development, induction and skills training for the clinical workforce.
• Provide specialist knowledge and advice and guidance for assurance and delivery of clinical and training programmes, and oversight of competency reporting.
• Work with the Nursing Education Lead, clinical tutors, speciality leads, external trainers and library services to monitor, evaluate and develop high quality, evidence based clinical education.
• Implement and monitor all relevant legislation and policies and/or procedures as identified by the organisation into the appropriate training and development programmes.
• Ensuring the delivery and appropriate development of quality assured, competency based clinical development programmes and assessment.
• Manage clinical development programmes, ensuring full engagement with all the relevant divisions, identifying the clinical competence that is required to ensure safe and effective patient care.
