Cleaner - N20 Whetstone - Immediate Start

Ventry Care is recruiting members of domestic staff (cleaning and laundry) to join the housekeeping team at our residential care home in Whetstone N20 (London Borough of Barnet).

We care for older persons and older persons with dementia.

Pay: £12.25 per hour (increasing for excellent candidates).

Hours: Part-time, 20 hours/week, 08:00 to 14:00 shifts

About This Role

• Perform essential infection control work, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the care home.
• Cleaning and polishing lounges, bedrooms, corridors, common rooms, and offices.
• Washing, drying, and packing away laundry.
• Carpet shampooing and spring cleaning tasks.
• Use electrical equipment safely, including hoovers, washing machines, dryers, irons, and carpet cleaners.
• Follow COSHH requirements for the usage and storage of materials and equipment.
• Work within a safe environment, considering your own safety and that of others.
• Ensure all equipment is clean and well-maintained.
• Restock toiletries, soaps, towels, etc., as required.
• Perform other domestic tasks as directed.

You will be supervised and supported by the care home management and will take instructions from them. Your goal is to keep the care home clean and organized. You must be self-motivated and committed to working well.

Experience is preferable but not essential. Ongoing training and support will be provided.
