Job summary

A local nursery in Dorchester is seeking a reliable part-time cleaner. You will play a vital role in keeping the nursery clean and safe for children and staff. Responsibilities include ensuring all areas are cleaned to high standards during afternoon hours, maintaining a friendly work environment, and following health and safety protocols. Previous cleaning experience in childcare settings is preferred. An Enhanced DBS clearance is required for this role.

About the role

We’re looking for a reliable, conscientious cleaner to join our team at Sunny Days Dorchester.

This is an important role within the nursery, helping to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for children, families and staff. Working during the afternoon, you’ll support the smooth running of the nursery by ensuring all areas are cleaned to a consistently high standard, in line with health, safety and hygiene requirements.

You’ll work independently, taking pride in your work and contributing to the calm, well‑cared‑for environment that Sunny Days is known for.

Knowledge & Experience

• Previous cleaning experience is desirable (particularly in childcare, education, healthcare or similar environments)
