Job summary

Equans is seeking part-time Cleaning Operatives to join our Gatwick Airport team, 15 hours per week at RH6 0PA. The role offers a salary of £11,544.00 annually with a benefits package. You will help maintain a clean and hygienic environment for passengers, staff and visitors while complying with safety procedures.

Shifts are Monday to Friday, between 8:00am and 6:00pm. A UK driving license is preferred and security vetting, including CTC and Airside Pass, may be required.

Qualifications

• Health & Safety Level 1 (including COSHH and Fire Safety) required.
• At least 1 year experience in a customer-focused environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills essential.

Equans is looking for multiple Part time Cleaners to join our team at Gatwick Airport, RH6 0PA on a permanent basis working 15 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £11,544.00 Annually and benefits package.

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday, working between 8:00am and 6:00pm.

What will you deliver?

As a Cleaning Operative, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for passengers, staff, and visitors. You will help ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are consistently delivered across the site.

Carry out cleaning duties in designated areas to agreed standards.

Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for all building users.

Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively.

Follow Health & Safety, COSHH, and infection control procedures.

Report any maintenance, safety, or cleanliness concerns to management.

Support the delivery of a first-class service.

Important Security Requirements

Due to the nature of this role and the airport environment, successful applicants must be able to pass and maintain the following security clearances:

• Counter Terrorist Check (CTC)
• Airside Pass

Please note: Appointment is subject to successfully passing all required security vetting and pre-employment checks.

Essential Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain CTC
• Full UK driving licence and access to reliable transport to travel to site.
• Flexibility to work within the operational hours required.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to high cleaning standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience & Qualifications

• Health & Safety Level 1 (including COSHH and Fire Safety).
• At least one year's experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Experience using cleaning equipment and materials safely.
• Knowledge of infection control procedures.
• Manual handling awareness.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
