Leabank Private Nursing Home in Ballycastle, part of Macklin Care Homes, is recruiting an experienced Chef to combine a passion for cooking with a balanced work‑life approach. You will provide nutritious meals for residents, catering to dietary needs in a warm, supportive environment.

The role offers 33.25 hours per week with flexible shifts, a focus on food safety, and opportunities for training and professional growth within a caring, award‑winning team.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years experience in a similar role
• Food Hygiene & COSHH training
• Good General Health (medically fit)
• Previous management experience (desired)

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and cook meals for residents, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks
• Cater to dietary requirements and allergens
• Create balanced, nutritious meals
• Develop weekly or monthly menus with residents and management
• Oversee kitchen operations and ensure timely meal service
• Maintain stock control and storage of supplies
• Minimise food waste and manage budgets
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
• Engage with residents for feedback and preferences
• Foster a welcoming dining experience
