Oken Tea Rooms in Warwick is seeking a reliable part-time chef to join our friendly, independent tea rooms. You will help prepare and serve light lunches, sandwiches, salads and soups, ensuring food is fresh and presented well.

The role emphasizes kitchen organisation, adherence to food hygiene and allergen procedures, stock rotation, and collaboration with Front of House to deliver a great customer experience. Salary £13.50 per hour, negotiable based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and cooking light lunches, sandwiches, salads and soups.
• Preparing, portioning and presenting food to a high standard.
• Assisting with the preparation and presentation of cakes and other menu items.
• Preparing ingredients and organising daily kitchen tasks.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised kitchen.
• Following food hygiene, food safety and allergen procedures.
• Monitoring stock levels, rotating ingredients and helping reduce food waste.
• Assisting with deliveries and restocking kitchen supplies.
• Working closely with Front of House colleagues to ensure smooth service.
• Helping with kitchen opening and closing duties as required.
