Job summary

Onside is seeking a commercially minded Head of Finance (Part Time) to lead our finance function across Worcestershire. In this pivotal role you will work closely with the Chief Executive, SLT and Trustees to secure robust financial management and deliver insightful financial reporting.

You will oversee budgeting, cash flow, and statutory compliance while guiding a small team and collaborating on funding opportunities.

Qualifications

• Significant senior finance experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial regulations and governance.
• Experience managing finance staff and supporting managers with budget decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day and strategic management of finances, including budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Produce clear, timely management accounts and financial reports for SLT and Trustees.
• Provide financial insight to support organisational decision-making.
• Maintain effective financial controls, systems and processes and ensure compliance.
• Support managers to understand and manage their budgets.
• Provide financial input into funding opportunities, tenders and procurement.
• Oversee income, expenditure, invoicing, debtors, payroll, pensions and Gift Aid.
• Lead, support and develop the finance team.
• Collaborate to improve financial systems and use of technology.
• Act as the organisation's lead source of financial expertise.
