Job summary

Grafton Banks Finance Limited, working with a charity across Sussex, is seeking a Part Time Finance Officer working 18.5 hours per week. You will ensure smooth running of financial systems, review policies, and liaise with the CEO and Board on financial matters.

Your duties include lead day-to-day financial operations, maintain payroll oversight with external providers, manage supplier payments, produce monthly management information, and support budgeting and forecasting for strategic planning

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA-qualified or equivalent with practical charity finance experience.
• Part-time role: 18.5 hours per week; strong IT skills including advanced Excel and Xero.
• Able to prepare budgets, forecasts and financial reports for governance bodies.
• Strong communication skills and liaison with CEO and Board.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day financial operations.
• Develop and maintain financial policies and controls in line with regulatory requirements.
• Oversee payroll in collaboration with external providers.
• Manage weekly payment runs and process invoices per policy.
• Reconcile monthly bank and credit card statements.
• Prepare financial budgets and reporting for the Board and budget holders.
