Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a Kitchen Assistant in Oswestry to support food preparation, cleanliness, deliveries, and serving customers according to the Chefs’ menu.

The role runs 9am–2pm Monday to Thursday and requires standing for extended periods. A DBS/enhanced check and right to work in the UK are required. Basic catering knowledge and strong time-management are valued, with on-the-job training available.

Qualifications

• Basic catering and hospitality knowledge desired but not essential.
• Must have basic knife skills and food preparation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain organisation.

Responsibilities

• Help with food preparation tasks such as peeling, chopping, trimming, and making sandwiches and salads.
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area and equipment, including utensils, tableware, and catering stations.
• Assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries and organise food and supply storage areas.
• Serve food items to customers in accordance with the menu prepared by the Chefs.
• Top up the vending services daily.
