Base pay range

Part time Catering Assistant - £12.60 per hour

We are seeking a Catering Assistant to join Victoria House in Rushden. You will work under the direction of the Chef to ensure that delicious home-cooked meals are prepared and served to residents. Our goal is to deliver the highest standard of care, with the needs of our service users at the center of all we do.

Duties Include:

  • Assist chef with food preparation
  • Prepare hot meals and sandwiches independently for residents
  • Load and unload dishwashers, wash equipment unsuitable for dishwashers
  • Clean kitchen and equipment
  • Collect and distribute crockery to/from care floors
  • Clear tea trolleys where applicable
  • Empty kitchen rubbish and keep areas clean
  • Maintain a hygienic environment
  • Follow instructions from Senior Chef/Chef
  • Meet residents' nutritional needs
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies

Salary: £12.60 per hour

Working Hours: Part-time, 24 or 10 hours per week

Shift times: 10:00 am - 6:30 pm
