Job summary

Brook Street in Wrexham is recruiting a Catering Assistant for a temporary assignment until December. The role is Monday to Friday, 11:00am–3:00pm (20 hours per week) with a pay rate of £12.71 per hour, based in LL13.

You will prepare sandwiches and light foods, replenish stations, serve customers, and maintain food hygiene. A valid Food Hygiene Certificate is essential and prior catering experience is desirable; the role offers a friendly team and stable hours.

Qualifications

• A valid Food Hygiene Certificate is essential.
• Previous catering, hospitality or food service experience is desirable.
• Good attention to detail, particularly with food safety paperwork.
• Friendly and professional customer service skills.
• Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Preparing sandwiches and light food items.
• Replenishing fruit stations and salad bars throughout the day.
• Serving customers and processing purchases through the till.
• Monitoring food temperatures and completing food safety records.
• Ensuring food display areas remain clean, stocked and presentable.
• Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
• Assisting with general catering duties as required.
