Introduction

Are you passionate about food and looking for a rewarding opportunity to work within a healthcare setting helping some of the most vulnerable people in society?

Join the Brighton and Hove service for young people aged 12 - 18 years with a primary diagnosis of eating disorders and possibly other mental health conditions. You will work 20 hours a week with an established and dedicated kitchen team.

Reporting to the Chef, you will support meal preparation, maintain a clean and safe environment, and assist with deliveries. This role offers a great social aspect, allowing regular interaction with people outside the kitchen.

As a Part Time Catering Assistant, you will be:

• Assisting catering staff with meal preparation and cooking according to policies and procedures
• Serving food and beverages to service users, staff, and visitors
• Maintaining storage procedures and stock rotation
• Ensuring all areas, equipment, and furniture are cleaned and stored correctly
• Ensuring the kitchen and related areas meet hygiene standards and comply with policies
• Liaising with the team, including dietitians, regarding dietary and planned meals

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

• Relevant Catering Qualification (Desirable)
• Knowledge of COSHH and HACCP
• Experience in a similar role
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills

Where you will be working:

Location: 14-18 New Church Road, Hove, East Sussex, BN3 4FH

At Brighton & Hove Clinic, you will join a multidisciplinary team providing CAMHS Tier 4 services for young people aged 12 - 18 years with eating disorders and other mental health conditions.
