Job summary

Capital City College is seeking an experienced Employability and Careers Advisor to support learners across post-16 and adult education. The role focuses on personalised guidance, coordinating high-quality careers education and activities to progress into university, apprenticeships, employment or enterprise.

The post is part-time and permanent; you will work with the EEC Manager and external partners to deliver a rich careers programme aligned with the Matrix Standard and Gatsby Benchmarks.

Qualifications

• Level 6 Careers Guidance qualification or Level 4 with clear commitment to Level 6.
• Confident communicator with ability to build rapport with diverse learners.
• Solid understanding of post-18 pathways including UCAS and apprenticeships.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one careers guidance tailored to individual needs.
• Deliver group sessions on HE pathways, apprenticeships, employability and enterprise.
• Coordinate careers events, workshops and university visits.
• Develop digital and print resources to support career planning.
• Embed careers education with curriculum teams and monitor impact.
