Progress Careers is seeking a part-time Careers Adviser to support students with personalised career guidance, 1:1 interviews, and information on future study and work options. The role includes travel to Knaresborough and Harrogate, delivering sessions and coordinating events.

The ideal candidate will hold a Level 6 in careers guidance or be working towards it, and be IT‑literate with strong communication skills. The role offers a commitment to wellbeing and professional development.

Qualifications

• Hold a level 6 qualification in careers guidance or working towards Level 6.
• Experience in information, advice and guidance (IAG) with young people.
• IT-literate with MS Office and digital tools.
• Ability to work to tight timelines and deliver high-quality work.

Responsibilities

• Conduct client-focused, impartial, personal career guidance interviews in 1:1 and group settings.
• Maintain client records electronically and produce summaries of guidance.
• Organise careers fairs and coordinate with the Careers Leader.
• Provide advice on resources and providers to meet Gatsby Benchmarks and standards.
• Facilitate group-based career-related learning activities.
• Assist with monitoring destinations and providing data to the operational team.
