Job summary

Northcare is seeking a part-time Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment at Northcare Residences Clarkston and Balmoral by Northcare in Giffnock. You will clean residents' rooms and communal areas, carry out laundry tasks, and support infection prevention procedures.

Successful applicants will join a friendly team, with paid training, progression opportunities, and staff benefits. Right to work in the UK is required; sponsorship is not available.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is desirable but not essential.
• Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly, dependable, and compassionate approach.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Right to work in the UK – please note Northcare is unable to sponsor employment of international workers

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain residents' rooms, communal areas, and bathrooms.
• Carry out laundry duties, including washing, drying, ironing, and storing clothing and linen.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
• Replenish cleaning supplies and report maintenance issues as required.
• Work closely with colleagues to ensure high standards of cleanliness and comfort throughout the home.
• Treat residents with dignity, respect, and kindness.
