Job summary

Compass Group UK&I, in partnership with Costa Coffee, is seeking a dedicated Cafe Supervisor to help ensure the smooth running of daily operations at a Costa outlet in Winchester. This part-time role is contracted to 10 hours per week, with weekend and shift patterns to suit business needs.

You will supervise frontline staff, ensure food hygiene, create rotas, manage stock orders, and uphold high customer service standards in a fast-paced cafe environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience supervising frontline teams within a similar environment.
• Strong customer service skills and a focus on quality interactions with customers.
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring all deliveries are checked and stored promptly and correctly.
• Supervising a team and creating a positive environment where the team feel welcomed and supported.
• Being a responsible key holder.
• Assisting with weekly bookwork and any other duties that are necessary.
• Producing weekly rotas following the manager’s guidelines.
• Placing orders for stock to maintain the correct stock levels.
• Delegating where necessary and ensuring the team are proactive at all times.
• Complying with Food Handling & Hygiene standards.
• Complying with Health & Safety regulations.
