Winnow Solutions Limited is seeking a motivated, hands-on Buildroom Assistant to support provisioning and assembly of hardware for our global client base from our London office. You’ll ensure units are assembled, tested and packaged to the highest standard for timely dispatch.
The role demands practical, detail-oriented work; training will be provided. A flexible schedule around studies or commitments is available, with a great central London office environment.
Food waste costs the world over $1 trillion a year. At Winnow, we're on a mission to change that — bringing AI-powered technology into hospitality kitchens to help eliminate waste at scale, with an ambition to save our clients $1 billion annually.
We started in London in 2013 with a simple belief: technology could make kitchens smarter and food systems more sustainable. Today that belief has grown into a global team spanning the UK, Romania, Dubai, Shanghai, Singapore, Malaysia, North America, and Mexico, working across 90+ countries and 3,500+ sites.
We're proud of the results we help our clients achieve. Names like IKEA, Hilton, Accor, Marriott, IHG, Compass Group, Iberostar, and Mandarin Oriental trust us to cut their food waste by over 50% on average — and when our technology is fully adopted, it reduces pre-consumer waste by 50–70% and delivers food cost savings of 2–8%.
We're building something that matters, and the people who thrive here feel that every day. We're proud to have been named one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work and ranked #4 in the FoodTech 500 (2025) — recognition of both our innovation and our commitment to building a purpose-led company where people can make a real difference.
Our Hardware team owns the strategy and execution behind our hardware portfolio, from system architecture and the hardware product roadmap through to scaling manufacturing, so our technology can be deployed reliably in kitchens around the world.
The team takes full ownership of the product lifecycle, from early prototyping through to mass production, embedding world-class engineering processes and managing our relationships with contract manufacturers and the wider global supply chain.
This team of 5 people is based in London, working office-based with occasional travel to customer sites and manufacturing partners .
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on individual to support our Buildroom team in the provisioning and assembly of our hardware products. This role is crucial in helping us prepare units for shipment to our global client base. You’ll be working closely with the team to ensure products are assembled, tested, and packaged to the highest standard, ready for timely dispatch.
Hours will vary depending on product demand but will likely be around 24 hours per week. At peak periods, we may request up to 40 hours a week. Hours will be agreed based on the availability of the selected candidate, and can be flexible to fit around other commitments.
The Materials function within our operations team is a ‘doing’ role. This role would be perfect for someone that loves getting stuck in completing tasks to deadline and to a high standard.
This is an onsite role operating from our Farringdon office.
