Job summary

PA Network Scotland in Dundee is seeking a Personal Assistant with British Sign Language Level 2 at minimum to support a deaf gentleman living independently. The role involves accompanying him to medical appointments, shopping, and community activities, with a degree of flexibility across Tue/Wed/Fri.

You must be calm, reliable, and comfortable in a home with a cat; the role requires some light personal care during showers to manage seizure safety. 13 hours per week at £17 per hour.

Qualifications

• BSL Level 2 minimum required.

Responsibilities

• Support with travelling to medical appointments and ensuring the interpreter is present.
• Assist with booking medical appointments.
• Assist with shopping and reading labels.
• Support to go out into the community including bus travel.
• Be in the home during showering in case of a seizure.
