Job summary

Libertatem Healthcare Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a Rehab Assistant with leadership responsibilities to support a client with a Traumatic Brain Injury. You will help with daily living activities, rehabilitation and emotional support, and supervise other Rehab Assistants while coordinating therapy plans and schedules.

The role includes leading MDT communications, planning appointments, and ensuring safety and documentation across community/home settings.

Qualifications

• Experience working with clients with brain injury, neurological condition or mental health
• Comfortable working independently in community/home settings, with strong time management
• Excellent communication with client, family, and clinical team
• Full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one)
• Good IT skills, including Word and Excel
• Comfortable around animals (cats and dogs)
• Willingness to go swimming with client for physio/leisure activities

Responsibilities

• Direct Support: assist with cognitive rehabilitation, communication strategies, and activities of daily living; provide daily emotional support.
• Team leadership: act as point of contact for MDT and family; oversee therapy programmes and ensure plans and tasks are followed.
• Provide supervision to Rehab Assistants and identify training needs.
• Organise and lead RA meetings, create agendas, invite MDT members.
• Coordinate appointments, events and tasks; liaise with GP/pharmacist; manage risk assessments.
• Follow up incidents and investigations when required; support timely post/email communications.
