Equals One is hiring an experienced Bookkeeper and Payroll Administrator in Hull. The role covers day-to-day bookkeeping and payroll for an established business, with an opportunity to influence the transition to a new accounting system (Xero or QuickBooks) as Sage 200 is phased out.

The position is permanent, part-time (27.5 hours per week) with flexibility in spread across 3–5 days. Salary is £17.00 per hour (£24,310 per annum) based on 27.5 hours, with travel to Rotherham possible during

Qualifikationen

• Strong practical bookkeeping experience and understanding of bookkeeping principles.
• Hands-on experience with purchase, sales and nominal ledgers.
• Experience with bank reconciliations, supplier payments and customer receipts.
• Practical experience of VAT returns.
• Good payroll experience including PAYE/RTI and workplace pensions.
• Experience with Xero and/or QuickBooks advantageous; Sage 50 Payroll experience required.

Aufgaben

• Manage purchase and sales ledgers and maintain the nominal ledger.
• Process supplier payments and customer receipts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and VAT returns.
• Process payroll using Sage 50 Payroll; manage PAYE/RTI and pensions.
• Support transition from Sage 200 to Xero or QuickBooks and establish new processes.
