Part Time Bookkeeper (8/10 hours per week) - Charity Organisation! Flexible Hours!!

Location: Remote Working with a monthly visit to East Leeds office (flexibility with working hours)
Salary: £18.00 - £20.00 per hour
Hours: Part Time - Office hours are 09:00 - 16:00, flexibility with hours
Reports to: CEO

What You'll Be Doing

As a Bookkeeper, you'll be the go-to person for all things money-related. You'll work closely with the Charity's CEO and Operations Manager to make sure everything is accurate, up to date, and compliant. Here's a snapshot of what your day-to-day might look like:

  • Process monthly staff salaries, liaising with the external payroll partner as necessary to ensure timely and accurate payments
  • Manage and maintain financial software (QuickBooks), including regular data entry, invoice management, and reconciliations
  • Petty cash
  • Helping with budgets, reports, and forecasts
  • Lead the preparation, submission, and sign-off of annual accounts
  • Maintain access to and secure oversight of bank accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Joining meetings to share financial updates and ideas
Must-Haves
  • A positive attitude and professional approach
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar software
  • Excellent bookkeeping skills
  • Confident using spreadsheets and basic IT tools
Nice-to-Haves
  • Experience working in a charity or non-profit
  • Experience creating budgets and reports
  • A finance qualification (e.g. AAT, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Advanced Excel skills (SUMIFS, VLOOKUPS, Pivot Tables)
