A fantastic local business is looking for a part-time bookkeeper to work 14 hours a week on-site in Oldham. Responsibilities include maintaining accounts, processing payroll, and ensuring accuracy and integrity in all financial activities. The ideal candidate will have strong accountancy experience, preferably AAT qualified, and proficient in SAGE and IRIS tools, making this a perfect opportunity for someone seeking flexibility around existing commitments.
We are pleased to assist a fantastic local business with their search for a part-time bookkeeper. This is a fantastic opportunity for anybody local to Saddleworth, with strong accountancy experience and needing a role to work around or complement other commitments.
Key duties will include:
Maintaining accounts payable, accounts receivable, aged debtors, credit control
Processing journals, balance sheet & wages reconciliations
Processing payroll (circa. 25 staff) pension and HMRC/Pensions Regulator reporting
Updating policies and procedures, streamlining accounts processes to maximise efficiency and reduce errors
In order to be considered for this one, you need to have significant experience in a similar role. You will be well versed with SAGE and IRIS and will ideally be AAT qualified. This is a stand alone role, which utilises an external accountancy firm for month/year end and audit, so you need to be confident in your capabilities and able to manage and maintain your own workload. You will be a strong communicator, with great focus and attention to detail. As with any role of this type, you will need to work with accuracy and integrity.
Salary is around the 16.00 per hour point (negotiable), dependent on experience, and employment will initially commence on a temporary basis.
This business is nestled in the beautiful Saddleworth hills, so you will need to be relatively local in order to be commutable - we are unable to support sponsorship or relocations.
