Blusource Recruitment is working with an established organisation in Northampton to recruit an experienced Bookkeeper / Accounts Assistant on a permanent, part-time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a varied, hands-on finance position, offering the flexibility of working just 2 to 3 days per week.
The organisation is looking for someone who can take responsibility for the day-to-day bookkeeping and transactional finance duties, ensuring the accounts are maintained accurately and efficiently.
The vacancy has arisen due to a planned retirement at the end of March, with the opportunity for a handover period alongside the existing accountant to ensure a smooth transition.
We're keen to speak with candidates who have a solid background in bookkeeping, accounts administration or transactional finance and enjoy taking responsibility for a varied workload.
You may currently be working as a Bookkeeper, Finance Officer, Finance Assistant, Accounts Assistant, Accounts Manager or Company Accountant, or perhaps have previously held one of these positions and are now looking for something part-time.
Experience using Sage 50 would be particularly beneficial, alongside good organisational skills, attention to detail and the confidence to manage day-to-day accounts with minimal supervision.
You don't necessarily need to be formally qualified, as practical bookkeeping experience and the ability to manage the responsibilities of the role will be particularly important.
This could be particularly appealing to an experienced Finance Officer, Company Accountant or Bookkeeper looking to reduce their working hours while retaining responsibility for the day-to-day accounts.
Equally, it could suit an experienced Finance Assistant or Accounts Assistant looking for a position offering greater ownership and variety.
