Job Title: Part-Time Bookkeeper

We are pleased to be working with our reputable client who is seeking a Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a well-established organization offering a positive working environment, long-term security, and stability.

Location and Working Days

Haywards Heath / East Grinstead area. The role is based in a rural location (halfway between Haywards Heath and East Grinstead). Candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have their own transport. Working days are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (apply online only).

Salary and Benefits

£15.60 per hour, approximately £9,734 per year based on 12 hours per week, plus attractive company benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Managing bookkeeping tasks using Xero accounting software
  • Posting sales invoices and allocating payments
  • Producing debtors reports, investigating unpaid invoices, and debt chasing
  • Managing and paying suppliers
  • Preparing weekly takings reports
  • Balancing and monitoring till, petty cash, and fuel expenses
  • Reconciling credit card invoices and recharges
  • Collating information for staff payroll
  • Maintaining spreadsheets and cash flow records
  • Producing invoices and recharging across other companies

Candidate Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and previous experience in bookkeeping. Due to the location, candidates must have a full UK driving licence and own transport.
