Job summary

ER Recruitment is assisting a Market Harborough-based professional services business to recruit a part-time Business Development Manager. The role covers approximately 22.5 hours per week with flexible days and some office attendance.

You will identify and win new business across the UK, building strong client relationships and managing a clear pipeline. A £40,000 pro rata base salary is offered, plus performance-related commission.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in business development, sales, client relationship management or account development.
• Confident, proactive in generating new business and opening doors.
• Commercially minded, organised with pipeline management and prioritisation.

Responsibilities

• Identify and approach new prospective clients, creating opportunities through networking, referrals, research and direct engagement.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective, existing and previous clients, identifying opportunities for repeat and new business.
• Manage and develop a clear pipeline of opportunities, ensuring leads are followed up and progressed effectively.
• Meet with clients and prospects to understand their requirements and identify where the business can add value, working with Directors and team.
• Support fee proposals and follow opportunities through to appointment, ensuring handover to the relevant team.
• Identify relevant frameworks, tenders and routes to market and collaborate with the internal team to pursue opportunities.
• Represent the business at networking events and industry meetings to raise its profile.
