Job description

Part Time Band 6 Community Nurse

Location: Thanet
Salary: £23,667 per annum plus benefits
Vacancy Type: Permanent, Part Time

Here at the Forward Trust, we are looking for a Band 6 Community Nurse to join us on a part-time basis.

As a Band 6 Nurse, you will work to provide and supervise the delivery of high standards of nursing care for the treatment and support of substance dependency to service users in accordance with up-to-date evidence-based professional practice, national guidelines, and Forward's policies.

The main focus of this role is to work as part of a multidisciplinary team responsible for delivering and monitoring high standards of substance misuse interventions, including triage and assessment of needs with case managers. You will provide assessment, brief interventions, prescribed drug treatment, case management, crisis intervention, group work, one-to-one work, supervision, and all aspects of nursing care.

Additionally, you may facilitate access to primary care and mental health services, monitoring physical and psychological health as part of promoting healthier lifestyles.

Please note this role is offered on a part-time basis. All prison-based roles require enhanced DBS and HMPPS security vetting, which can take 8-12 weeks. Offers are contingent upon receiving both vetting and DBS clearances.
