Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting for a Band 5 registered nurse to work on Ward 2. This 12-month fixed-term, part-time post (up to 26 hours per week) focuses on assessing, planning, delivering and evaluating nursing care, and coordinating ward services when senior staff are absent.

The ward is a 27-bed medical unit caring for patients with complex, highly acute conditions. Active NMC registration is essential; visa sponsorship may not be available.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with active registration.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care as part of the ward team.
• Work under the direction of the Ward Manager.
• Organise and co-ordinate nursing services when senior staff are absent.
• Exercise professional accountability as per the NMC Code of Conduct.
• Maintain high clinical standards of nursing care.
