Job summary

Will Adams Academy is seeking an Attendance & Family Liaison Officer to support students in Years 9-11 in an Alternative Provision. The role focuses on attendance improvement, early intervention, and proactive family liaison under the guidance of the Safeguarding and Welfare Lead.

The post is part-time, permanent with term-time hours and flexibilities, offering a chance to contribute to students' welfare and educational outcomes with access to an employee assistance scheme.

Qualifications

• Build positive relationships with students and families.
• Contribute to improved attendance and reduce absence.
• Deliver interventions per DfE guidance on attendance.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and complete admin tasks.
• Demonstrate knowledge of attendance legislation and LA procedures.

Responsibilities

• Promote excellent attendance and student welfare under Safeguarding and Welfare Lead.
• Engage with families to support engagement and attendance.
• Collaborate with external agencies to remove barriers to education.
• Record attendance accurately and maintain compliant records.
