Job summary

Hays Accountancy & Finance are partnering with a global Manufacturing Group to recruit a dynamic part-time Assistant Accountant based in Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire. The role is 15.75 hours per week and is offered on a permanent basis with a 50/50 remote/office hybrid arrangement once settled in.

The salary up to £33,000 per year pro rata, with a study package for financial qualifications if desired, and opportunities for learning and development are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role; trial balance understanding is essential.
• Studying towards CIMA/ACCA/ACA/AAT or qualified by experience.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Proactive, self-driven, and able to manage own workloads.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to business needs.

Responsibilities

• Reconciliations of financial accounts, including GRNI, balance sheet and P&L reconcilations.
• Management of fixed assets and treasury processes.
• Support year-end reporting, audits and HMRC government audits.
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting and financial projects.
• Provide financial admin support and respond to general enquiries.
