Job summary

Chesterfield College is seeking a Lecturer in Art and Design to join the team. The post covers 14.8 hours per week across 52 weeks per year, with a salary of £21,734 to £37,602 pro rata per annum. Close date 20 November 2026.

Applicants should have a relevant Art & Design degree and be able to teach across Level 1–3 programmes; English and Maths Level 2+ are expected. Evening/weekend delivery may be required.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of Art & Design and enthusiasm to teach across Level 1–3 BTEC Art & Design programmes.
• Experience or training in teaching is advantageous.
• Strong communication, organisation and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach across BTEC Art & Design levels 1–3.
• Contribute to maintaining attendance, engagement, retention and achievement.
• Provide pastoral and tutorial support to student groups and engage in curriculum activities.
