Job summary

Search Consultancy are delighted to be working with a well-established law firm in Cupar to recruit an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Officer on a permanent, part-time basis (3 days per week).

The successful candidate will oversee the firm's AML compliance framework, ensuring compliance with Law Society of Scotland AML Rules and Guidance, and provide support and training to staff across the business on AML matters.

Qualifications

• Experience in AML, compliance, risk or regulatory duties within a legal environment.
• Knowledge of Law Society of Scotland AML Rules and Guidance.
• Strong understanding of UK AML legislation and requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to assess compliance risks.
• Strong organisational and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the firm's AML compliance function.
• Ensure adherence to relevant AML rules and guidance.
• Conduct client and matter risk assessments.
• Review and monitor CDD and EDD procedures.
• Maintain and update AML policies and controls.
• Carry out file reviews and internal audits.
• Act as the main AML queries contact across the firm.
• Provide AML training and guidance to staff.
• Identify and escalate compliance risks.
• Produce compliance reports and maintain AML records.
