Job summary

Equans is seeking a Part-time Afternoon Cleaner based at Noel Baker Academy, Derby. The role is 20 hours per week on a 49-week contract with a fixed term. Duties include maintaining hygiene standards, reporting issues to the Caretaker, and complying with health, safety and COSHH rules.

Qualifications

• Experience within the cleaning/hospitality industry with proven knowledge of housekeeping best practices.
• Good Timekeeping and attendance record.
• An outgoing personality with strong customer service focus.
• Proven experience of delivering a high-quality service with an eye for detail.
• BICS qualified or similar desirable.

Responsibilities

• To carry out all work as requested.
• Maintain hygiene, health and safety and presentation in working areas.
• Report maintenance issues to the Caretaker.
• Work under pressure, problem-solve and use initiative.
• Follow all company systems and processes.
• Observe site rules, wear company uniform and stay smart.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental and COSHH policies.
• Follow maintenance, cleaning and storage instructions for equipment.
• Keep cupboards clean and locked when not in use.
• Be ready to perform other duties as requested by the Caretaker.
• Deal politely with customer requests to exceed expectations.
